Day 2: Medan – Gunung Leuser National Park – Bukit Lawang Eco Lodge (B,L,D)

Drive approximately three hours to Bukit Lawang, situated on the banks of the Bohorok River at the main entrance to Gunung Leuser National Park, an area known for its orangutan population.

Check in to Bukit Lawang Eco Lodge, a simple yet comfortable, rustic accommodation where you trade air-conditioning and hot water for a setting surrounded by nature.

Experience orangutan encounters near the rehabilitation centre and feeding platform, with opportunities to observe feeding sessions in the morning and afternoon.
Day 3: Bukit Lawang – Lake Toba – Samosir Island (B,L)

Begin an approximately 10-hour drive to Lake Toba early in the morning, travelling through North Sumatra’s scenic landscapes.

Pass through Berastagi, known for its natural scenery, including mountains and waterfalls.

Stop at Sipiso-piso Waterfall, a dramatic 400-foot-high waterfall along the route.
