Day 1 : Manado International Airport – Transfer to Gangga Island Resort (D)
Arrive at Sam Ratulangi Airport-Manado, transfer by boat to Gangga Island resort for overnight
Day 2 : Free days on the beach (B,L,D)
Full board meal at hotels. Snorkeling activities around the resort
Day 2 : Explore Tangkoko National Park (B,L,D)
This day will be dedicated to exploring the jungle in search of animals and bird watching. You will start the trekking that will take you to Tangkoko National Park. In just 40 minutes, you will reach the Batuangus beach where you will then climb Mount Tangkoko (1500 m). The dense and virgin jungle is home to some unique animal species in North Sulawesi such as the crested black macaque and the tarsier spectrum that has become known as “the smallest primate in the world”.
As you will be trekking through the lush jungle, you will probably see and hear the red gnarled hornbill as well as the maleo which is a megapod bird that lays eggs on large mounds it builds on the black sand. You can also find couscous, which is a relative of the Australian koala. The forest ranger will accompany you all the way to the top of Tangkoko Mountain. In the afternoon return to Gangga Island Resort for overnight .
Day 3 : Manado : Minahasa Highland Tour (B,L,D)
After breakfast, transfer by boat to Manado then we will driving up to the Minahasa Highlands. We will visit Tomohon a small town situated between two active volcanoes with its unique local market which sells dog rats, bats and snake meat. Afterwards visit Wolaoan village to see how traditional Minahasa wooden houses are constructed and visit Tondano. Lunch served in a restaurant near Tondano Lake, the biggest lake in the province. After lunch visiting Pulutan where things like potteries and made of clay, Linow lake is a changing color lake with panoramic surroundings. Late afternoon back to your hotel. Overnight at Minahasa* (Deluxe room) / Quality hotel***(Superior room)
